Vehicle rolls on N12, killing two
Public holiday fatal crash: Two killed‚ three injured as vehicle rolls on N12 on the far West Rand.
Two men were killed and three others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in on the N12 rolled multiple times just outside Fochville on the far West Rand on Wednesday night, 1 May.
Russel Meiring, ER24’s spokesperson, said their paramedics and those of another service arrived on the scene at 7pm to find the vehicle on the side of the road, on a small embankment.

He said five men were found trapped inside the vehicle.
“Paramedics quickly assessed the patients and found that two men had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were later declared dead. The three remaining men were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.
“Fire services freed the three injured men, as well as the two who had passed away, from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. Once they were freed, paramedics treated the men and transported them to the Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
