Three suspects have been arrested by police who discovered a lab manufacturing drugs on a plot in Hillside on Wednesday, 21 November.

Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, Gauteng Police spokesperson, said the Crime Intelligence Unit had been observing the area for a few weeks before they raided the place.
“When we got inside the place, we found chemicals that we believe are used for manufacturing Mandrax.”
He added that the chemicals, equipment and end-product could be worth millions of rands.
“It is a plot, and there are animals, but we do not know whether they are used for commercial purposes.”
Dlamini concluded by saying the owner of the property has also been taken in for further questioning. It is believed he is a former professional soccer star.
