Vehicle rolls: Five injured, one critical

A vehicle rolled in Carletonville yesterday, leaving five people injured, one critically.

Five people were injured when a vehicle rolled on Blyvoor Road in Carletonville on Tuesday, 28 August.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said they arrived on the scene at 3.30pm and found a vehicle on the side of the road.

“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that five people were travelling in the vehicle when it rolled. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one patient, a man, had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. The other four patients had sustained moderate injuries,” Meiring said.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured with advanced life support interventions.

“Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment,” Meiring added.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
