A 23-year-old petrol attendant was arrested by the Bekkersdal Police for fraud he committed at a Caltex garage in Waterpan.
According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, “The manager caught the man defrauding the garage”.

She said the incident happened on Sunday, 22 July.
“The manager alleged that after one of his employees had poured petrol for a customer, he printed a duplicate receipt with the intention of using the same receipt for other cash transactions and pocketing the money.
“He conducted his own investigation until he caught the employee in action. He reported the matter to the police and the employee was arrested.”
The suspect is due to appear in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court on charges of fraud.
