Motorcyclists injured in Westonaria crash

Two injured, one critical after motorbike and car collided in Westonaria over the weekend.

Two motorcycle riders were injured, one of them critically, when they collided with a vehicle on Bridge Road in Westonaria on Saturday.

According to Werner Vermaak, ER24 spokesperson, “At about 2.30pm paramedics from ER24 found a man and a woman with multiple injuries.

The man was in a critical condition and an emergency medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift him to hospital.

“The woman was treated and stabilised on the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known.

Local authorities attended the scene.
