Police recover hijacked vehicle in Homelake

A hijacked vehicle was found abandoned in Homelake.

A hijacked vehicle was recovered in Angelier Street in Homelake on Monday (23 October).

Just after 1pm, local police were called out to the abandoned vehicle.

According to Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, the West Rand Cluster Police spokesperson, ” Two unknown men pointed a firearm at the driver and demanded he handed over his vehicle.

“The hijackers took the vehicle and drove off, but abandoned it just a few blocks away where someone spotted it and the tracking company traced it.

The hijackers had stolen personal belongings from the vehicle. Police are investigating a case of hijacking,” said Mashale.
