On 19 June, the Bekkersdal Police arrested two suspects, both aged 27, for allegedly murdering a person on 16 June at about 6.10pm.
The victim, aged 38, was allegedly taken to a local clinic with multiple stab wounds, but unfortunately passed away on arrival.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was fighting with both the suspects at a local tavern. The suspects were traced and arrested the same evening,” said Bekkersdal Police’s spokesperson, Sergeant Linkie Lefakane.
The suspects were both charged with murder and were expected to appear before the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court on Monday 19 June.
