The Herald has been informed by the person first on scene after the brutal attack on a 63-year-old woman that she is showing progress.

According to Lucas van Niekerk, who is the vice-chairman of the Ten Acres Neighbourhood Watch and a close friend of the family, the woman is moving her legs, arms and neck.
