West Rand workers get the low-down on their rights
The West Rand District Communication Forum (DCF) had a worker's rights roadshow.
The West Rand District Communication Forum (DCF) recently took a decision to inform the district about worker’s rights.
They went to Muldersdrift, Westonaria Borwa and Wedela to inform the workers what their rights are.
The roadshow started at the Muldersdrift Community Hall on Wednesday, 17 May, moved on to Westonaria Borwa the next day, and ended at the Wedela Community Hall on 19 May.
In addition to creating awareness about rights, they also engaged with those who are unemployed and informed them about services rendered by the Department of Labour. These included job-seekers’ databases, which West Rand residents were taught how to get onto in order to find a job.
