Motorists travelling between Randfontein and Bekkersdal are advised to take alternative routes due to a protest in Zenzele.
It is said that stones are raining down on passing vehicles, but the R28 is not affected at this stage.

Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson, confirmed that the Zuurbekom Road past Zenzele, between Randfontein and Bekkersdal, is currently affected and that traffic police as well South African Police Service officers are on scene to redirect traffic.
