An argument over a girlfriend in Brandvlei, Randfontein led to the death of a 25-year-old man.
Local police said the incident took place at about 11.30pm on Saturday, 18 February.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson said, “It is alleged the victim and another man had an argument over a cheating girlfriend. When the argument turned violent the victim was stabbed several times.
“He died on the scene and the suspect fled. We investigated the matter and were able to apprehend the suspect, also 25 years old, shortly after the case was reported to the police.”
Last Monday the suspect appeared in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court on a charge of murder.
