#FridayBraaiDay: How ‘Teiners braai when it’s raining outside

From braai'ing in a garage to just braai'ing in the rain.

There has been a lot of rain this week, and it made the Herald wonder what ‘Teiners do when they want to braai but it’s raining.

The top comment this week was from Angelique van der Berg who said a Randfonteiner’s braai will never be deterred by mere rain.

It’s clear ‘Teiners have no qualms about braai’ing in the rain. In fact, the ‘Teiners who responded to the Herald’s question on social media seemed to have ‘in case of a braai-mergency’ plans.

Some were fortunate enough to have undercover built-in braais, but others took braai-ing to a whole new level that doesn’t seem to conform to any fire safety measures.

William Knight, a #FridayBraaiDay master, is convinced one can braai in the garage. His motto is, ‘one can always make a plan.’

‘Teiner Bianca Pindral would much rather braai under the garage door’s limited shelter than park her car. She believes nothing can stop a ‘Teiner from braai’ing.

Lastly, Adéle Lotriet once again made it very clear that a braai is just an excuse to knock back a few strong ones. Her ‘braai-mergency plan’ is to invite people over for a ‘braai’, which is actually code for knocking back a drink stronger than your conventional soft drink, until you forget what you were actually doing there.

It is clear to the Herald that Randfontein will braai through a rainstorm and would likely have braaied through Cyclone Dineo if it had hit Randfontein.
