A service station situated on the N14 in Randfontein was recently targeted by three armed robbers.
The incident took place at approximately 11.39pm one Sunday last month, said Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson.
The robbers, one of whom was armed with a gun, overpowered an unknown number of employees. They allegedly instructed the victims to lie flat on the floor while they broke down a security door to enter the shop.
The trio took money and merchandise before fleeing the scene.
The Randfontein Police are urgently seeking information that might assist in their investigation. The investigating officer, Captain Martin Smith, can be contacted with any information that might lead to the capture of the thieves, on 011 278 8100.
