Bogus customers target business, rob woman

Two robbers, one of them armed, pretended to enquire about a loan and ended up robbing their consultant.

27-year-old woman recently was the victim of a business robbery near the Randfontein Central Business District (CBD).

The woman had allegedly just finished assisting customers at approximately 9.45am on Wednesday, 7 December when two men entered the business, pretending to enquire about a loan, said Captein Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson.

One of them suddenly pulled out a firearm and overpowered the woman. She was forced into a room while the suspects removed money and other valuables from the business, and fled the scene.

The Randfontein Police are hunting for the suspects and request members of the public to urgently contact them should they have any information which might lead to the tracing of the suspects.
