Tempers are flaring at the Randfontein Taxi Rank following what seems to be a dispute among taxi drivers and owners.
Currently a heavy police presence, plus a number of Randfontein Traffic Police officers are on scene, trying to restore order.
Taxi owners and drivers have just finished their meeting but the atmosphere remains tense. Police are currently engaging in talks with taxi owners and drivers.
The exact cause of the unrest is unknown, as is whether passengers will have the use of taxis for the day.
