The body of a man was found lying next to the N12 in Simunye, Westonaria on the morning of 12 October.
According to Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, paramedics received an emergency call from the local authorities. Upon arrival, paramedics found the body lying a short distance away from the N12.
They found that the man had sustained numerous fatal stab wounds. “Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene,” Meiring said.
Meiring said it was clear to the paramedics that the man had been dead for some time.
“The cause of this incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations,” he said.
