A security guard is in a critical condition after being shot at business premises situated in Amethyst Street, Carletonville on Tuesday, 4 October.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the man lying on the floor inside the business. Examination of the man, believed to be in his 30s, revealed that he had sustained a wound to his left leg,” said Chitra Bodasing-Harduth, the ER24 spokesperson.
She added he was treated by paramedics on scene and then airlifted to hospital by a private medical service for further medical care.
The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
