One dead after vehicle collides with motorcycle
Netcare 911: Tragically, the man died soon after landing at the hospital.
A man was killed after a vehicle hit a motorcycle on the R28 near Neptunus Street in Westonaria on Saturday night.
According to Chris Botha, Netcare 911 spokesperson, paramedics responded to the collision at about 6.22pm.
“Reports from the scene indicate that a car collided into the side of a motorcyclist; exact detail to the cause of the crash however will remain a subject for police investigation.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the biker lying on the roadway with Life Threatening injuries. Medics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the man and after he was placed on a ventilator, they airlifted him with the Netcare Helicopter to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
“Tragically, the man died soon after landing at the hospital due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.”
