RPA hopes to take the chill out of winter

'We appeal to members of the public and local businesses to help take the b-b-b-b-b out of winter for the less fortunate.'

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) is once again hosting a Winter Charity Drive and is appealing to members of the public and local businesses to help take the b-b-b-b-brrr out of winter for the less fortunate by donating blankets, beanies and bed-socks.

“These items can be dropped off at the RPA office – located at Greenhills Sport Stadium in Homestead Avenue – during office hours from Monday, 27 June to Friday, 8 July,” said Joy Hamann, RPA publicity officer.

Cash donations are also welcome and will be used to buy the necessary items and food parcels.

Distribution of all donated goods will begin in July. The recipients will be various needy families, individuals and organisations in Randfontein, Toekomsrus and Mohlakeng.
