Stolen vehicle from Sophiatown found in Bekkersdal

Police find stolen car while investigating a kidnapping case.

A stolen vehicle was recovered by the Bekkersdal Police while investigating a kidnapping case.

While busy with the case, it was alleged that Lieutenant Silinda from the Bekkersdal Police received information regarding the stolen vehicle pointing towards a small holding in Zuurbekom.

According to Sargent Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson the location was investigated and a grey Audi was found.

“Investigations revealed the vehicle was reported stolen in Sophiatown. No arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing,” Lefakane said.
