Church to build private hospital

Church not even established for a year to build a private hospital.

Randfontein will soon have a new private hospital thanks to one of the biggest churches in town and the greater Africa.

The World Community Counselling Centre is a church which was first established in Botswana 15 years ago. They then decided to branch out and chose Brandvlei as their next location.

Prophet Professor Lwemba Ngoma Justin, general overseer of the church has been in Brandvlei since May 2014 and has already built a fully functioning church with over 100 members, a church restaurant and a hostel for international guests.

He is currently in the process of building the church’s very own private hospital which will be free to the needy but those who are able to pay for the services, will pay.

“The idea behind the hospital is the squatter camp that we share a boundary with. We can’t be here as a church and not be able to provide for the poor. These people can’t afford to see specialists and I have so many specialist working with me,” Justin said.

He explained the church will be there to create jobs as well and some of the staff will be volunteers.

We will get specialist volunteers for certain periods of time. For example from Monday to Wednesday we’ll have free eye surgeries and so on.”

Justin said he is hoping to see the hospital in operation at the end of the year. During the wait for the hospital, the church has acquired 600 wheelchairs which they give to the public for free.

“Write to us to apply, let us look over the application and see if you really need it and we give it to you for free,”

The church has given thousands of wheelchairs out since inception and has even gotten a humanitarian award from the president of Botswana for their assistance. The danger, Justin said, is that people pretend to be disabled and later sell the chairs which is why proof needs to be submitted to receive a wheelchair.

In addition to the hospital the church does counselling for free and currently has an online bible college. “The bible college is online right now but we’re going to build a building for that, too as soon as the hospital is completed.”

“All of this started when my wife and I were young – we collected old clothes, washed and ironed them and gave them to the needy now, now we give them brand new things,” Justin said.

The church will also be having a crusade from 13 to 15 May at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. For more information about the church contact Justin on 073 357 1787.
