Manhunt underway for rapist

Police: The man was last seen wearing an orange shirt with a blue overall.

A middle-aged man is wanted by the Westonaria Police for rape.

According to Sargeant Audrey Sefara, acting Westonaria Police spokesperson, the victim was allegedly alone in a house when an unknown man entered the house and raped her before fleeing the scene on foot.

The incident took place on Wednesday, 3 February.

The woman, Sefara said, managed to assist police with enough information to have an identikit compiled. The man was last seen wearing an orange shirt with a blue overall.

Should anyone be able to identify the suspect, the Westonaria Police can be contacted on 011 278 5300, alternatively the investigating officer, warrant officer Groep can be contacted on 082 778 9048.
