West Rand police officers promoted
Cluster commander: With new ranks comes great responsibility.
14 new officers within the Krugersdorp Cluster which Randfontein falls under were promoted to a higher rank.
The special introduction and congratulatory meeting was held one Tuesday in March in Kagiso. Of the 14, two were promoted to major and 10 to lieutenant.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, “The other three promoted officers were performing crucial duties.”
Cluster Commander, Major General Anna Mateisi added that with a new rank, comes greater responsibility subsequently, officers should know more will be expected from them.
She congratulated each officer individually and wished them will with their new ranks.
