Man dies after crashing car into tree
Appeal for caution on the roads following fatalities, number of others injured ahead of Easter.
ER24 is appealing to motorists to drive with caution ahead of the Easter weekend.
According to Chitra Bodasing, “A number of lives have been lost and numerous other people have been injured in several parts of the country this past two weekends.
We are urging motorists to refrain from speeding and drinking and driving as well as to be alert at all times while on the road.
“They should also ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy. We also urge people to buckle up and ensure that children are appropriately restrained.”
Last week in Carletonville, a man, 24, sadly died after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed into a tree. The incident took place on Ada Street.
Bodasing continued, “Motorists should also be aware of pedestrians and likewise, pedestrians of motorists.”
