Aureus family in house robbery nightmare

Police: The victim was asleep when she was rudely awakened by a scream.

A woman was rudely awoken by screams of a family member during a house robbery at a complex in Aureus.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the incident took place at around 2.30am on Sunday, 6 March.

“It is alleged the victim, 29, was asleep when she was rudely awakened by a scream. It appears that a family member went to the bathroom only to be confronted by a knife wielding suspect.

The victims were held at knife point while a second suspect ransacked the house.

“Clothing and electronic equipment were taken and the suspects fled. It was later established that the suspects gained entry to the house by forcing a door open.”
