Man found stabbed at train station

Police: The victim was bleeding profusely.

Randfontein Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 27-year-old man was found stabbed at Homelake railway station.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the incident took place at around 8.15pm on Friday, 4 March.

“It is alleged that police members were patrolling in the area around the railway station when they saw a man lying on the ground.

They stopped to investigate and found the victim was bleeding profusely.

“They established the victim was stabbed in the head. The victim immediately was transported to a local hospital for treatment,” said Ernst.

The investigating officer, Sergeant Kgomotso Mekgwe would appreciate any information that might shed light on the incident.
