Boy, 8, critical after being hit by car

ER24: The boy was thrown several meters before landing on the side of the road.

An eight-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was knocked down by a vehicle in Mohlakeng over the weekend.

According to Werner Vermaak, ER24 spokesperson, “When paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene on Saturday evening they found local EMS attending to the critically injured boy.

“Paramedics assisted with treatment and rushed him off to Leratong Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood the boy was thrown several meters before landing on the side of the road.”

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.
