All systems go for Show

Tell your friends, tell your colleagues, tell your family, but whatever you do, don’t dare miss this year’s Randfontein Show.

The Greenhills Sport Stadium is a hive of activity. The tents are up, the grass has been cut and the funfair has arrived.

Yes folks, it’s Randfontein Show week from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 March and it’s the biggest happening on the West Rand.

Cheaper show entrance tickets are still available until 2 March with savings varying between 15 and 25 per cent, depending on what day one visits the Show. The Show celebrates 30 years of success this year and continues to bring a world of entertainment to your doorstep.

We are excited about celebrating the big 30 and this year Show visitors can look forward to a carnival atmosphere with an explosion of colour,” said Show coordinator Marcelle Mans.

“We are enormously grateful to the Randfontein Local Municipality for their assistance in getting the stadium ready for the big event – they really went all out this year to make sure the grounds and fences are in a good condition and able to accommodate the many thousands of visitors who will be coming from all over Gauteng as well as neighbouring provinces.

“We also would like to thank the South African Police Service (SAPS), West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) Emergency Services (EMS), Randfontein Public Safety (Traffic) and members of the WRDM Disaster Management team in advance for the role they play in maintaining law and order and for their interest in this event,” Marcelle said.

There is always an undeniably festive vibe at the Randfontein Show and this year will be no different. People from far and wide have commented on various Facebook pages they would be coming back to their hometown to meet up with old friends and enjoy what is known as “Die Lekkerste Kuierskou”.

Randfontein Show only comes around once a year and we invite all to come and enjoy the wide variety of entertainment on offer, the mouth-watering food and a host of new events and exhibitors.

“We really have pulled out all the stops this year so come and party and get your dose of fun and a dash of adrenaline. Tell your friends, tell your colleagues, tell your family, but whatever you do, don’t dare miss this year’s Randfontein Show.”
