Man, 28, dies after being stabbed in the neck

Police: Suspect still at large.

Police are still searching for a suspect who stabbed a 28-year-old man to death outside a shebeen in extension 11, Mohlakeng on Saturday before last.

It is alleged the deceased was involved in an argument with the suspect in front of a local shebeen. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim once in the neck and then fled the scene. The victim died instantly.

“It was alleged by witnesses the suspect is known in the area, although they cannot supply his name,” said Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson.

The suspect is still at large and the Randfontein Police are urgently requesting assistance in tracing the suspect.
