Suspect shot dead outside restaurant
The Randfontein CBD was a hive of activity in the early hours of Saturday morning following an alleged robbery.
In the early hours of Saturday morning an unknown number of suspects attempted to allegedly rob a Mexican restaurant in the Randfontein CBD. One died in the process.
According to various reports on social media, two suspects were involved in the robbery one of which was allegedly shot and killed and another who was apprehended.
It is further believed the suspect was apprehended by a reaction officer from Mapogo Security. Social media reports have not yet been confirmed by local police.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson could only confirm that the incident took place in the CBD.
