VIDEO: Boy, 5, goes missing after Christmas

Search party launched for missing boy.

Five-year-old Matthew Ryan Olivier went missing just two days after Christmas and residents are vigorously searching for him.

“Approximately 130 people assembled at the area the boy went missing,” said Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police.

This included Randfontein Police Station Commander, Brigadier Mamamela.

 

Ernst said the boy went missing at around 5.55pm in Groenplaas on Sunday, 27 December.

Pink Ladies have also issued a missing child alert. The alert states he went missing from his grandparents home in Groenplaas. He was last seen in an orange T-shirt and orange shorts.

If anyone has seen this boy, the Randfontein Police can be contacted on 011 767 2350/54. Ernst can also be contacted on 082 853 0403.

The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit in the Krugersdorp South African Police Service (SAPS) can also be contacted on 082 778 9049 or 072 214 7439 or 083 378 4882.
