Mother, baby injured in car crash

Second reported car crash involving children over the weekend.

A woman and her four-month-old baby were injured following a collision on Watersedge Road in Carletonville on Friday over the weekend.

A young man also was injured. The collision involved two light motor vehicles.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that no serious injuries were sustained. ER24 paramedics treated and transported the baby and mother to Leslie Williams Hospital for further treatment.

“The other patient was treated and transported to hospital by other medical services on scene. The cause of the accident remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation,” said Pieter Rossouw, spokesperson for ER24.
