Police arrest 117 suspects in one week

Station Commander of the Randfontein Police commended all members who assisted in making the arrests.

Randfontein Police made 117 arrest in the last week.

Acting Station Commander,Colonel Marius Smit said, ” These arrests were mostly made in cases of assault, possession of stolen property and drunken driving. Numerous articles that are presumed to be stolen were also confiscated from these suspects. Arrests for drug peddling and possession of drugs were also executed in the Randfontein policing area.”

He further expressed his satisfaction with these successes and applauded all the police officers for their efforts in eradicating crime and the criminal element in Randfontein.

The number of arrests should be an indication to the criminal element in the Randfontein area that crime will only land you behind bars,” he said.

“Any information regarding criminal activity can be communicated to me, and will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. We will investigate and take the necessary action needed.”
