Attempted murder in Greenhills circle

‘It’s a case of discharging a firearm, attempted murder, and pointing a firearm’

Late night customers in the Greenhills circle were concerned after allegedly hearing gunshots go off at in the parking lot of a pub last week Friday.

Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein police said, “This office can confirm that the Randfontein police are investigating three cases pertaining to an incident that occurred in the parking lot of a local pub, which allegedly happened on Friday 21 August.”

Ernst says the case is that of discharging a firearm, attempted murder and another for pointing of a firearm.

It is currently being investigated by the Randfontein detectives. “The investigation is still being conducted and witness statements are currently being obtained,” Ernst explained.
