Church donates school shoes
'We would like to help pupils become effective leaders in our beautiful rainbow nation' — pastor
A local church proved that kindness is not just a word but an act after they had donated 30 pairs of school shoes and socks to Laerskool Glenharvie on Monday (29 May).
Pastor Thomas Mmbadi of the Word of Healing Ministries said the church decided to start the initiative after noticing children from impoverished homes going to school barefoot. He said the little the church gathers through tithes and offerings, they invest back into the community.
“We would like to establish a relationship with the school to help pupils become effective leaders in our beautiful rainbow nation,” Mmbadi said. The church located on 13 Boonjieskloof Street in Glenharvie is appealing to the community for help.
