Piggy bank robbers on the loose

Robbers leave behind ...

An unknown number of suspects, known as the piggy bank robbers, are on the loose after they targeted a flat in Bootha AH over the weekend.

According to Robbie Dercksen, branch manager of Special Operations Solutions (SOS), robbers broke into a resident’s flat around midnight on Saturday (23 May).

“The suspects came in by jumping over the wall and breaking open the kitchen door. Then they went through the kitchen cupboards.

“They stole a few small items and two electronic devices. They also tried to steal a piggy bank but it fell on the grass when they ran away. They also drank all the milk and threw the bottle on the grass.”

SOS personnel allegedly were on the scene within minutes.

Comment is still awaited from the police.
