Six injured in three vehicle collision

Man trapped, five others injured in Carletonville.

A man had to be removed from his vehicle and five others were injured when three vehicles collided on the R501 near Carletonville on Wednesday night.

According to Chitra Bodasing, spokesperson for ER24, “When paramedics and other services including fire and rescue arrived on scene, they found four men and a woman sitting close to the side of the road. A man was trapped in one of the vehicles. He had to be extricated.”

Bodasing states that all patients were assessed and treated and were later transported to hospital for further medical care.

“The exact cause of the collision is unknown, however, authorities were on scene for further investigations,” Bodasing said.
