Biker critically injured in West Rand crash
Rear-end accident leaves woman injured, transported to hospital.
A motorcyclist was injured critically in a collision on the R28 in Krugersdorp on the West Rand on Monday.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann “Paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found a forty-year-old woman lying on the roadway after a motorcycle rear-ended a motor vehicle.
“Upon assessment of the injured woman, paramedics found that the woman had sustained critical injuries during the rear-end accident. The occupants of the vehicle were not injured during the accident.
“The injured woman was treated at the scene, placed on a trauma board and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation. Traffic was severely affected as a result of the accident.”
