Friends and family packed the Maranatha Church in Middelvlei on Tuesday 14 April to say their final goodbyes to Marius du Toit.
On Easter Sunday, Du Toit was shot dead in his home in Culemborg Park in front of his son.
That day the family was overpowered by armed suspects. It is believed the suspects gained entry through a window after which they shot and killed Du Toit before fleeing the scene with stolen property.
Du Toit’s family opted for cremation.
The day of the funeral was a somber day indeed as tears just could not be kept in. Emotions heightened when the hearse left the church premises – the final goodbye to Du Toit.
