Bank employee, customers held at gunpoint
Gunmen target rural bank on mining site.
A bank employee and customers were held at gunpoint in an armed robbery recently.
The rural bank targeted is said to be situated on a mining premises. It is alleged that the employee was assisting people at the ATM when a black vehicle stopped in front of the building.
According to police the armed men jumped out of their vehicle and held the bank employee and other customers at gunpoint. They forced them to lie on the floor and then took all the cash on the premises. They also robbed the customers in the bank and the cashiers of their personal belongings before they fled the scene.
No arrests have been made.
