CPF calls important community meeting

'It is the community's chance to hold police accountable,' — CPF.

The Randfontein Community Policing Forum (CPF) is calling all residents to participate in a Sector 4 community meeting.

Sector 4 includes all the residential areas such as Greenhills, Homelake, Helikon Park, Randgate, Culemborg Park, Eike Park and Randpoort.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 12 March at Randfontein Primary School’s hall 6.30pm for 7pm. “This is an important meeting for residents to attend. It is their chance to hold the police accountable for delivering services to the community and most importantly, to make Randfontein a safer place,” said Zaheer Gangat CPF Executive Committee Chairperson.

The agenda for the meeting will include the election of a new Sector 4 CPF. “Residents shouldn’t think this is just a normal election meeting. The election will take up only a few minutes of the meeting. Furthermore, we will be discussing serious matters and residents’ concerns,” Gangat added.

In addition to this, Captain Appel Ernst, Spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, urges residents to participate; “the Randfontein Police would appreciate your participation in this matter and this is an opportunity for community members to become involved in matters which has an impact on their everyday safety.”
