Man jailed eight years for murder

Murderer sentenced after four years of court proceedings.

On 6 July 2011, 28-year-old Jimeny Boulers was attacked by a group of people in Toekomsrus on Port Jackson Street. Boulers sustained injuries to the upper body and head and later died on the scene.

Seven suspects were arrested shortly after the incident of which four were juveniles.

The case was heard at the Randfontein Regional Court. On December 12, 2014 the court found 31-year-old Stanley Stone guilty on the charge of murder.

The other six accused were acquitted on all charges. Later, Stone was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment on 15 February, 2015 at the Regional Court.

Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Bongani Mpete is commended by the Randfontein Police for the manner in which he conducted the investigation and the efforts he made in ensuring the sentence.
