Accident leaves woman in her 20s dead
Passenger survives crash, woman driver not so lucky.
A woman has tragically lost her life during an accident in Krugersdorp on the West Rand in the early morning hours yesterday.
According to ER24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak “Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the accident scene at the intersection of Paardekraal and Market Street that day after 3.20am.
“Upon their arrival they found that the crumpled remains of a Corsa light delivery vehicle that had crashed against a robot resulting in the driver tragically losing her life.
“The woman, believed to be in her twenties, sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing that paramedics could do for her.
“The female passenger miraculously escaped with only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.”
