Four people were injured in a multiple motor vehicle collision on the R500 between Parys and Fochville early on Tuesday.
According to ER24 spokesperson, Pieter Rossouw “One of the patients was a baby of approximately one year old.
“ER24 paramedics were on scene and treated three patients. Two patients sustained minor injuries and was transported by ER24 to Parys Provincial Hospital. The other patient, an infant, sustained critical injuries. ER24 treated the infant and was then airlifted by AER24 to Sunshine Hospital in Benoni, Johannesburg.
“Another patient was transported by another service to Leslie Williams Hospital in Stiltontein.
“The cause of the incident is still unknown, however local authorities were on scene.”
