Lucky’s body found on railway line

Police investigating a case of murder.

Randfontein Police has confirmed that the body found on the train tracks in Carletonville is in fact that of Lucky Titus.

Titus last was seen on Thursday 30 October around 7pm.

Colonel Smit of the Randfontein Police says, “We are investigating a case of murder and suspects have been charged”.

It is unknown to the herald how many suspects are involved.

According to Titus’ mother, Cynthia she went to view her son’s body at the Government Mortuary in Roodepoort after it was reported that a man that was found dead in Carletonville.

She says she is extremely saddened by the manner in which her son has been killed.

“They took my son and they beat him,” she told the herald.

According to her he was tortured and his hands and feet were bound before he was pushed in front of the train.

She says the funeral will be a closed casket due to the extensive facial injuries he sustained from the train and the torture he allegedly endured.

“I can’t let people see him like this,” she says.

The funeral is set for Saturday 15 November in Mohlakeng where family members will say their final goodbyes.
