Power outage not load shedding
Parts of Randfontein without power for more than 4 hours and counting...
The power outage residents of Randfontein experienced on Thursday was not because of load shedding.
According to the load shedding schedule released by the municipality on Tuesday, parts of Randfontein would only be affected as from 2pm. (View the full schedule here).
This was not the case on (Thursday 6 November) as parts of Randfontein was without power for more than five hours, as from 10am.
Asked why the power is off Lucky Chiya, spokesperson of the Randfontein Executive Mayor indicated, “This could be due to maintenance issues.”
A source close to the herald explained, “There is a problem with a substation in the area.”
I will not pay my property this month. If the council can provide what I have paid for in advance .” My power ” paid for but they choose when I can use it.

I do generator installations to houses and hope to one day see eskom vanish and hope all anc councils with. How can the power be shut off even if we paid for it. I cant sell you shoes and tell you when you can use it ?? Even if it is a failure from eskom on one line there is supposed to be a ring feed idiots put the power on.
