Another woman found murdered

The body of another woman was found in Middelvlei, confirms police.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst says, “On 6 October at 6am police discovered the body of a 49-year-old woman in Middelvlei.

“Witnesses say that they heard the victim being assaulted during the night. Police investigated and found that the victim had been assaulted brutally.

“Police discovered information on the scene about the suspect. Upon investigation they found that the victim and the suspect were at a local tavern earlier the evening.

“The witnesses say that the suspect and the victim started fighting in the tavern and that the victim was beaten.

“A 37-year-old suspect was arrested.”

He is expected to appear in court today.
