Dumped foetus found in drain

Police is investigating yet another case of concealment of birth after a foetus was discovered in a drain.

This is said to be the fourth foetus found abandoned in Randfontein this year alone.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, “Municipal workers worked on a blocked drain in Magalefa Street one Wednesday in late August. They found that the reason for the blockage was the foetus,” says Ernst.

“We were called out as well and the foetus was removed and taken to the pathology department for a post mortem,” says Ernst.
