Three men shot dead at informal settlement
Police launches an investigation into mysterious murders.
Randfontein Police has launched a murder investigation after three men had died in an alleged shooting at the Zenzele informal settlement recently.
“We were called out to a murder scene and that of an attempted murder recently and we found that two men were receiving medical attention from paramedics,” Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst confirmed today (13 August).
“The two men, aged between 20 and 25 were found with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. One of the men passed away on his way to hospital while the other died on scene. We also found a third man dead in a pool of blood in a shack, also with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
“It currently remains unclear as to what led to the shooting,” Ernst continued.
