How is the municipality going to pay Eskom?

I recently read in the Randfontein herald that the Randfontein Local Municipality owes Eskom millions in electricity bills.

This is a huge concern to me because residents of the Mohlakeng Hostel still receive free water and electricity and do not pay for any of these services. We as taxpayers have to pay astronomical amounts for the same services each month. How does the municipality plan to pay their debt to Eskom while they render these services free of charge to various places such as the Mohlakeng Hostel?

I feel it is unfair to give these services to some at no charge, while others have to pay huge amounts for the same services.

I suggest the Randfontein Local Municipality starts to plan on how to eliminate the problem.

One cannot get services if you do not pay for them. When we do not pay our electricity bill, our electricity is switched off, but this is not the case for all the residents of Randfontein.
